Better Timeline is a browser extension for Safari and Chrome that remembers which pinned X list you want as your Home default. This page describes what the app stores and what it does not.
Data we collect
We do not collect, sell, or transmit personal data. There are no accounts, analytics, crash reporters, or advertising SDKs.
What stays on your device
The extension stores two preferences locally in the browser’s extension storage (Safari or Chrome):
whether auto-switch is enabled
the name of the pinned timeline you selected
Those values never leave the device. Uninstalling the extension removes them.
Website access
The extension runs only on x.com and twitter.com. It reads the names of pinned Home tabs so you can pick one, then switches to that tab. It does not post, like, follow, or send messages. It does not read your DMs, password, or cookies for any other purpose.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly store information about them.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page will change. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
